"This prize values the work that has been developed in capturing important events"

Global Traveler presented Lisbon with the Best Leisure Destination in Europe, in the 6th edition of the Leisure Lifestyle Awards, for the excellent experience that the destination offers to tourists.

For the readers of the monthly magazine for business and leisure luxury, Lisbon is distinguished by the diversity and quality of tourism, factors that differentiate it ahead of cities like Prague, Rome, Paris and Venice.

According to Paula Oliveira, executive director of the Tourism Association of Lisbon, "this award values the work that has been developed in capturing and making achievable reference events, as well as in the creation and management of projects or equipment of tourist interest, which improve the experience of the tourist and the people who live and work in Lisbon ".

The award was received in Los Angeles (USA) by Commander Rui Horta, chair of the ATL General Assembly Board.

Global Traveler is published in the US and has about 300,000 readers who make, on average, nine domestic flights per year, with 93% traveling on a regular basis internationally, mostly in first class or business class.
