The Little Mermaid - is a megaproduction that showcases the magic of music, singing, ballet and the acrobatics

Filipe La Féria made Andersen's tale, The Little Mermaid, a musical for kids and adults. This beautiful spectacle will be on stage at the Teatro Politeama until January 15, 2017. It is not only a children's show, but a megaproduction that presents music, singing, ballet and acrobatics with sceneries and an incredible clothing pieces. In addition to that, a video system is going to be used on a Portuguese stage for the first time.

The story is based on the tale of Hans Christian Andersen, Danish playwright, with Filipe La Feria responsible for the staging.

Synopsis: Once upon a time there was a mermaid called Ariel, her dream was discover the world of humans. On a stormy day, Ariel saved Prince Dimitri from a shipwreck. The prince, hearing her voice, was completely in love. The feeling was reciprocal, but the two belonged to different worlds, the prince to the land and Ariel to the sea. To become a human Ariel asks for help of the Wicked - Moreia, the witch of the sea, who demands her beautiful voice in return. Ariel will discover the fascinating world of humans and the prince will do everything to find the voice, that saved him and for why he fell in love.
