PORTUGAL GETS  23 TOURISM OSCARS

Portugal wins additional nine awards of the World Travel Awards 2016

Portugal won 23 categories of 91 nominations that was given by the World Travel Awards of 2016, which took place on September 4 in Sardinia, Italy. In 2015 Portugal had already won 14 and this year returned to overcome itself, indicating a growing reputation in tourism.
 
Among the winning categories TAP is considered as the best airline to fly to Africa and South America, Lisbon as the best city in Europe to do the cruise and Madeira as best destination islands. In addition to these distinctions Algarve was considered the best beach destination. These awards also highlighted several Portuguese hotels, especially in the regions of Lisbon and the Algarve.
