Turismo de Portugal runs several events along the Web Summit to show the best of the country

Sunset Summit is one of the events that the Secretary of State for Tourism and Tourism of Portugal has reserved for the afternoon of the 8th and 9th of November. The objective is to make Portugal, its gastronomy and culture known, to make people feel like coming back. The first event of this initiative happens already on Sunday, 5, with the inauguration of the Galo Pop by Joana Vasconcelos on the quay of Ribeira das Naus.

During the summit, the Pavilion of Portugal will contain exhibitors from various tourist regions to showcase their products. The program features regional products, multimedia projections, music and crafts. Those who participate in the summit have free admission, but those who do not participate are not left out. Under the banner of the Pavilion there will be a lounge area with free events, where the most important Web Summit presentations will be broadcasted live.

Throughout the afternoon you can watch multimedia shows and performances by Portuguese artists such as Gisela João, Noiserv and Julio Resende. Also will be raffled a trip to Portugal. The winner will be able to return to the country in 2017, with the flight and two-night stay in a 4 or 5 star hotel paid for. Basically, all these initiatives have the common goal of encouraging Web Summit participants to get to know the host country better and for them to return in the future.
