Markets, fairs, and bazaars. Lisbonites and tourists won’t know where to turn with so many Christmas sales, some of them for a good cause. Two months of temptations!

MERCADITO BLOG DA CARLOTA – Christmas Edition, 10th November. From 10 am to 7 pm at Centro Cultural de Belém. It’s a winner market, with dozens of brands and thousands of visitors. It was children’s clothes oriented at first, but it already features women’s fashion and décor. It is organized by blogger Fernanda Ferreira Velez, author of Blog da Carlota. It’s full of brands that we usually only have access to online.

FEIRA DE SOLIDARIEDADE RASTRILLO – NOVO FUTURO, from 22nd to 25th November. From 12 to 11 pm (on the last day it closes at 6), at the Lisbon Congress Center. A fair of varied products at reasonable prices and spread across 40 stands. The total revenue will be given to Associação Novo Futuro, an organization to foster and help children without a home. It is usual for the President of the Republic to set the example and do a lot of shopping as well.

MERCADO DE NATAL, from the 29th November to 2nd December. From 11h30 am to 9h30pm, at Campo Pequeno arena. An original market whose purpose is to contribute to divulge, stimulate and sustain small workshops, artisans and productive national micro activities which don’t usually have a presence close to the big public. It is a good way of raising awareness to the small Portuguese jewelry, fashion, toys, décor, gastronomy, and design industries.

BAZAR DIPLOMÁTICO, from the 30th November to the 1st December. From 11 am to 7 pm at the Lisbon Congress Center. Organized by the Associação das Famílias dos Diplomatas (Diplomat’s Families Organization), it’s already in its 34thedition. This year, the revenue will revert to institutions which provide continued and palliative care. It’s a bazaar with many articles originating from diverse countries. These are oftentimes rare or even impossible to find anywhere else during the year. The Diplomatic Bazar has the sponsorship of the President of the Republic, who has promised to be part of the official inauguration.

NATALIS, from the 5th to the 9th December at FIL – Feira Internacional de Lisboa, Parque das Nações. From 3 to 9 pm on the first and last days and to 11 pm on the remaining. Family oriented, this fair includes a Santa Claus Market, a Sustainability Market, a Playground Market, a Chocosweet Market, and a Gastronomy Area. Side by side with Diverlândia, which takes place from the 1st December to the 6th January 2019, from 3 to 7 pm.

MERCADO DE NATAL in Alvalade, at Avenida da Igreja, Alvalade, between the 7th and 16th December. From 10 am to 8 pm every day. On Saturday until 9 pm. There are many wooden stands with crafts, commerce, and cuisine for every taste. There will also be outside activities and the traditional Santa Claus’ House.
