There are six Portuguese hotels in negotiations to join the North American hotel group

The US group Best Western Hotels & Resorts plans to open 30 hotels in the Iberian Peninsula over the next five years. This hotel group was founded in 1946 and currently has more than 4200 hotels worldwide, including two in Portugal: Hotel Inca, Porto, and Dom Bernardo, Faro. You can choose between Lisbon, Madrid and Barcelona.

Best Western Hotels & Resorts hotels are independently managed and have to meet certain requirements for their membership, such as adhering to the image of 'Best Western', passing the quality test and ensuring certain technological requirements. In return they gain international visibility and have the support of the group, which provides up to 30% of turnover for their establishments.

Right now six Portuguese hotels are holding negotiations to join the group. For Lusitanian lands, the main bet by 2021 is Lisbon, however this expansion may cover other cities. The Best Western group offers its customers a loyalty program, with points that never expire and can be converted into miles.
