The MAAT offers workshops for children on Christmas

The museum prepared activities the themes of which revolve around the art of science

Between 19 and 30 December 2016, the MAAT - Museum of Art, Architecture and Technology has prepared a school holiday program, that includes activities around art and science. The workshops of this museum, which opened in October 2016, have an interdisciplinary logic that is based on experimentation, discovery and creativity.

In the "Energy and Electricity Workshop", children will be able to build prototypes of battery-powered electric cars and sunlight over four days. This activity is aimed at children between the ages of 9 - 13 and will take place between 19 and 22 December, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. After Christmas, it will be held between the 27th and 30th of December, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.

The workshop "Next Stop: Future! Workshop of Plastic Arts "will take place between December 27th and 30th from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and will be devoted to the fine arts and sciences. Here the children from 7 to 12 years old, can build a facility in three dimensions using their imagination, based on speeches and contemporary practices.

On "Island of Utopia: Christmas Holidays Workshop 2016" the imagined stories will be staged and a theater of shadows will be built together. The photographs taken during the show will be collected in an album. In this workshop the media such as photography, performance, drawing and collage is intended to be explored. This activity will take place between 19 and 22 December, from 2:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
