Portuguese chef is a jury at MasterChef Brasil

Vitor Sobral participated in a program, dedicated to the fusion of Portuguese gastronomy with Brazilian

It is known that Portuguese gastronomy plays a fundamental role in Brazil, however this is not always recognized. It was not the case in a recent Brazilian MasterChef program, which merged the two cuisines and with the participation of Chef Vítor Sobral as a jury, it was a logical choice, considering the success of his restaurants in Brazil.

Vitor Sobral took the Portuguese gastronomy to Brazil ten years ago, with the opening of Tasca da Esquina, the same concept of the restaurant in Campo de Ourique. Since then it has opened the Padaria da Esquina and the Taberna da Esquina, and these three spaces are being constantly awarded. This year, Veja magazine, from São Paulo, elected Tasca da Esquina - as the best Portuguese restaurant in the city, the Padaria da Esquina - as the best bakery in the city, and Taberna da Esquina - with the best lunch menu.

In an interview with Fugas magazine, famous British chef Gordon Ramsay praised Lisbon and highlighted its gastronomic potential. He states that the Portuguese capital is a beautiful city and that "there are many interesting things happening in Portuguese cuisine."
