On the highest hill of Lisbon, located one of the most iconic monuments of the capital, St. George's Castle

The São Jorge Castle began to be built in the second century BC during the Roman occupation of the city and was later occupied by the Arabs. Only in 1147 it was back in the domain of the Portuguese, when it was conquered by Dom Afonso Henriques.
